Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “This is a disgraceful attack, carried out by those who evidently don’t care about the consequences of their actions. What would motivate anyone to attack this hall?
“We must ensure that those behind this despicable incident are brought to justice before they carry out another arson attack. These actions were deeply dangerous and I am very thankful that no-one else was in the building at the time of the fire.
“I would urge anybody with any information about this arson attack to contact the police.”
