McCarthy calls on road users to be vigilant of others following road death

Alliance Strangford MLA Kieran McCarthy has called on road users to be vigilant of others on the road after the death of a motorcyclist who was involved in a collision with another car on the Belfast Road in Saintfield on Friday night. The motorcyclist was 43 year old Dermot Morris.

Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to his friends and family. My thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

“I would urge all road users to be vigilant of others on the road following this death.

“One death on the road is one too many. I will be working at the Assembly to ensure everything possible is done to improve road safety, but we need road users to always use caution when on the road.”
