McAllister condemns North Belfast sectarian attack

Alliance North Belfast Councillor Nuala McAllister has condemned those behind a paint bomb attack on a house on Glenrosa Street that Police are treating as a sectarian hate crime. Paint was thrown over the front door of the property sometime on Wednesday afternoon. Nobody was in the house at the time.

Cllr Nuala McAllister said: “There is no place for sectarianism in our society. I know that the overwhelming majority of people will be opposed to the actions of those responsible for this attack.

“The First and deputy First Ministers must do more to promote a shared future if we are to combat these sorts of hate crimes.

“I hope that the Police will be able to apprehend those responsible, but they will need the public’s help, so I would urge anybody with any information to contact the PSNI or Crimestoppers.”
