Cllr Nuala McAllister said: “There is no place for hate crimes in our society. I am very concerned that this is the third such attack on the same street in the past week. The people who carried out these attacks are just a bunch of thugs.
“We must create an open Northern Ireland that is welcoming to people from all backgrounds.
“I would like to give my support to this man and tell him that the vast majority of people are opposed to these attacks.
“The people responsible for this attack must face justice in the courts. If anybody has any information that could help the Police in their investigation, then I would urge them to contact the PSNI or Crimestoppers.”
