Councillor Stephen Martin stated: “At this time, I want to express my sympathies to the family, friends and neighbours of the lady who has passed away following the tragic fire at Maralin Avenue in the Old Warren area of the city earlier today. This is a close knit community and such a turn of events has come as a shock to people in the area.
“Thanks must also be expressed to the care workers who raised the alarm and to the Fire & Rescue Service for their quick attendance at the scene.”
