Alliance Party Lisburn representative Stephen Martin has condemned as sickening a petrol bomb attack that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning on the home of a couple in the Brokerstown Road area of the city.
Stephen Martin said:”The petrol bomb attack on Sunday morning was an outrageous and sickening attempt to damage property and claim lives. We are very lucky that the PSNI are not conducting a murder enquiry. Those who believe that acts of thuggery and violence are acceptable in Lisburn have no place in our community. I would urge anyone with information to bring that forward to the PSNI in order to help make Lisburn safer. This is the third attack of this nature in the last fortnight in Lisburn and it bodes unfavourably that the New Year has started with the same nonsense. We need to work together to ensure that these incidents do not ultimately lead to someone being seriously injured.”
