Alliance MLA Chris Lyttle has welcomed the contract award of Kuwaiti based MD and Tech Trading Company to East Belfast firm, AM Light to supply lighting solutions for a number of projects in Kuwait and Dubai including a major health clinic and a new luxury hotel resort.

Chris Lyttle MLA said: “I was proud to welcome the CEO of MD and Tech Trading to East Belfast and show him our wonderful city. I hope he enjoys his stay here and I am sure he will see the warmth and friendliness of our country and see that his company made a right decision to invest here.

“The award of this contract to AM Light shows that local businesses from Northern Ireland can compete in the global economy. I hope that the trading relationship they have established with MD and Tech Trading Company in Kuwait and Dubai are the first of many international contracts for them.

“Northern Ireland’s reputation for being a good place to do business has been enhanced by these contracts and will encourage other companies to invest in our country.

“I would like to pay tribute to the hard work of AM Light on winning these contracts as increasing the exports of our indigenous SMEs will be vital to economic growth and job creation in Northern Ireland and this is a welcome achievement.
