The MLA was speaking after an unnamed European Airline confirmed an order of at least 31 planes the aerospace firm said.
He said: “It is fantastic to hear of another order for Bombardier C-Series aircraft and this positive demonstration of consumer confidence in an innovative product after a turbulent few months.
“Bombardier is a major employer in East Belfast and vital for the wide supply chain across Northern Ireland and this order is a boost for skilled manufacturing staff and the sector alike.”
