Lyttle supports Foster Care Fortnight

Alliance East Belfast MLA, Chris Lyttle, has shown his support for Foster Care Fortnight at a family fun day for Belfast Health Trust on Saturday. The Belfast Health Trust Fostering Service carried out research which found that one in four fostered teenagers are living with at least their fourth family in care and 29% of foster children aged between 5 and 10 years are living with at least their third family in care.

Chris Lyttle MLA said: “I was very pleased to take part in this event for the Belfast Trust and show my support for Foster Care Fortnight.

“I would like to pay tribute to all those families who have fostered, for the valuable services that they provide.

“Belfast Trust needs more foster families and I would encourage anybody who is interested to come forward and contact their local Health Trust fostering service.”
