This year the initiative will operate under the slogan ‘Everybody is Somebody’ and will see children and young people take part in poster displays, themed assembly presentations and lessons around the subject.
The MLA for East Belfast said: “Bullying is completely unacceptable. I fully support the Anti-Bullying Week initiative and want to highlight the importance of removing bullying in any shape or form from our society.
“This year’s slogan, ‘Everybody is Somebody’, reminds us that in today’s society no-one deserves or should have to live with any form of bullying. This initiative challenges us all to recognise and eradicate bullying from our communities.”
