Lyttle pleased as work is beginning on skatepark

Alliance MLA Chris Lyttle has welcomed news that work is beginning on Northern Ireland’s first public outdoor skate park saying the facility will provide an appropriate venue for the popular activity. The new park will be located under the M3 bypass near city centre and will be around 20,000 square feet in size.

Chris Lyttle MLA said: “This is an exciting project which will provide a high quality purpose-built facility for everyone who is into skateboarding.

“This public outdoor skatepark will be a first for Northern Ireland and I am pleased that building work is commencing.

“This is a very popular activity and I am pleased that people will have a dedicated place to go to take part. The facility will allow people to skateboard in appropriate surroundings and give them a great place to hone their skills.”
