Chris Lyttle MLA said: “I was proud to welcome Linda to the Assembly to hold a seminar on the Irish language. It was great to see such a range of MLAs from different parties in attendance.
“While the Irish language has made the headlines in recent months, Linda was keen to emphasise that it does not belong to one side or the other, it belongs to everyone. We should all be celebrating it as a part of our shared society.
“The Irish language classes she is organising are an excellent addition to the local community in East Belfast, showing the diversity that exists in the area.
“I would like to thank Linda for visiting the Assembly and look forward to working with her in the future on her Irish language classes.”
