Lyttle encourages people to support Belfast Trojans American Football team

Alliance East Belfast MLA Chris Lyttle has encouraged people to attend the Belfast Trojans match against the Craigavon Cowboys this Sunday at the Shorts playing fields beside the Sydenham bypass at noon. Entry is free and the club is trying to get its highest attendance since its formation in 2004.

Chris Lyttle MLA said: “I would certainly encourage people to come along to see the Belfast Trojans play. It is great to see such a community based sporting team do so well and bring fun and enjoyment to people in Belfast and beyond.

“They have players from all parts Northern Ireland and from further afield, and have prided themselves on their multi-cultural basis, so it would be great to lend them your support.

“This Sunday, they are trying to get their highest attendance in the eight years since their formation, so if anybody has not been before or is interested in seeing American Football then now is the time to come along and see it for yourself. Entry is free, so what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than coming along to Shorts Playing Fields and cheering on the Belfast Trojans.”
