Anna Lo MLA said: “I am shocked at the viciousness of this attack. I do not know what could possess anybody to carry out such a brutal assault.
“I hope that the two people injured in this incident are able to make a full recovery from the injuries they sustained. My thoughts are with them and their family at this difficult time.
“I would like to praise the work of the ambulance crews who responded to this incident and the police who have made three arrests in connection with this crime.”
