Lyttle congratulates new Queen’s University Vice-Chancellor

Alliance Employment and Learning spokesperson Chris Lyttle MLA has congratulated Professor Patrick Johnston on his appointment as the new President and Vice-Chancellor of Queen’s University. He will take up the post in 2014. He is currently dean of the school of medicine, dentistry and biomedical sciences at Queen’s.

Chris Lyttle MLA said: “I would like to congratulate Professor Johnston on his appointment as the new President and Vice-Chancellor of Queen’s University.

“As Vice-Chancellor for one of our universities, he will have an important role to play in preparing our young people as the future leaders of our economy and society.

“He has had an accomplished career in the fields of medicine and cancer research. I would like to wish him every success on his new position.”
