Alliance Employment and Learning spokesperson Chris Lyttle MLA has commended the Employment and Learning Minister, Stephen Farry MLA for the work his Department has done to organise a jobs fair which is taking place at the Europa Hotel today. There will be 56 employers offering 1,100 vacancies at the jobs fair. Chris Lyttle MLA said: “It is fantastic to see such a large number of job vacancies from a broad range of employers, along with careers officials offering advice, at this jobs fair. While Northern Ireland is still recovering from the economic downturn, this jobs fair has shown that there are opportunities available.

“I would like to commend the Employment Minister and his Departmental officials for the work they have done to organise this jobs fair and attract so many employers.

“I would also like to welcome the Minister’s work in improving the skills base of the Northern Ireland workforce, which played a part in the recent major jobs announcement at Stream Global Services in East Belfast.”
