Lyttle calls on young film enthusiasts to take part in festival

Chris Lyttle MLA has called on young film enthusiasts to take part in a programme to help select movies for a major upcoming festival.

Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival, which takes place in Belfast between October 9 – November 4, has asked young people to become ‘film consultants’ and programme a series of films for the event.

The participants will work with the Cinemagic team to watch and critique films from around the world, resulting in a number of choices that will then be screened.

Alliance MLA Mr Lyttle said it was a great opportunity for young people interested in film to pursue their dreams.

“This is a fantastic chance for participants to take a leading role in deciding what films are shown at the festival and steer the overall direction of the festival. It is also an opportunity to meet other likeminded young people and have a lot of fun along the way.

“Cinemagic is a well-known and vastly respected festival, known for inspiring young people to contribute in many ways. If there are any budding film critics out there, I would encourage them to take part.”
