Lunn: Time needed to consider option for integrated status for Clintyclay

Alliance Education spokesperson, Trevor Lunn MLA, has called on the Education Minister to allow the parents and governors of Clintyclay Primary School to explore the option and demand for an integrated school in their area. Mr Lunn was speaking after he met pupils, teachers and parents from the school at Stormont.

Trevor Lunn MLA said: “I would urge the Education Minister to allow one year for this proposal to be developed as it is clear from soundings in the local area that there would be interest among protestant parents in using the school if it was established on an integrated basis.

“I am waiting for an opportunity to discuss this issue with the Minister and hope that he will be open to considering such a proposal.”
