Trevor Lunn MLA said: “I am very concerned that this is the latest in a series of paramilitary style shootings in recent months. There is no reason for these paramilitaries to exist. These people are adding nothing to our society. The vast majority of the public do not want these thugs on our streets.
“This was a horrific attack on these two men. I hope that they will be able to make a full recovery from the injuries they suffered.
“The Police will require the support of local people to apprehend those responsible for this shooting, so I would urge anybody with any information to contact the Police or Crimestoppers.”
