Lunn condemns those behind Belfast pipe bombs

Alliance Policing Board member, Trevor Lunn MLA, has condemned those responsible for several explosive devices that were left in different locations in Belfast. A device exploded under a car in West Belfast on Wednesday night and a pipe bomb was found under a car in North Belfast on Thursday. A suspicious device was also found under a car in South Belfast.

Trevor Lunn MLA said: “Lives have been put at risk by those responsible for these devices. They have no regards for the consequences of their actions and do not care who is seriously injured or killed. These security alerts have caused much distress and concern to local people.

“This has been a busy day for the Police and Army Technical Officers but I must praise their courage as they continue to put their lives on the line to protect the public.

“Those responsible are very dangerous and must face justice in the courts, so I would urge anybody with any information about these devices to contact the Police or Crimestoppers.”
