Trevor Lunn MLA said: “In recent days, the homes and offices of members of the Alliance Party have been attacked and I would like to show our support and solidarity with Cllr Brush. The targeting of elected representatives must end, this violence must stop.
“I recently spoke on the Assembly debate about the attempted murder on Cllr Brush in the 1980s and I was proud to have shaken his hand. He has shown great courage in continuing to work on behalf of the public and I hope that this latest attack will not deter him.
“This was a cowardly attack carried out by those who have no regard for the consequences of their actions.
“I would urge anybody who has any information about this attack to contact the police.”
