Lunn appeals for information after body found in West Belfast

Alliance Justice spokesperson Trevor Lunn MLA has appealed for information after the discovery of a woman’s body in West Belfast, which is believed to have lain undiscovered for more than two years.

The remains of Marie Conlon (68) were discovered in a flat in Larkspur Rise last week. A 23-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody. Police, who have launched a murder investigation, said the last known sighting of the deceased was in January 2015.

“This is a horrifying discovery and my sympathies are with the loved ones of Ms Conlon.

“While the circumstances surrounding the death are not clear. I would appeal for anyone with information on this matter to contact police immediately with it, so those involved can be brought to justice.”
