Lunn appalled by hoax bomb alert at primary school

Alliance Lagan Valley MLA, Trevor Lunn, has condemned those who made a hoax bomb call at a primary school in Lisburn. Pond Park Primary School was evacuated on Wednesday after a call was received warning that three devices had been left at the school. After carrying out a search, the Police say that it was a hoax alert.

Trevor Lunn MLA said: “I cannot begin to understand the mindset of somebody who would make a hoax bomb call at a primary school. I am appalled by the actions of whoever is responsible.

“This must have been a traumatic experience for the hundreds of children who had to be evacuated and their worried parents. I would however like to pay tribute to the staff and Police who ensured the safety of the children during this evacuation.

“The people who made this sick call must be found and brought before the courts to face punishment for their actions. If anybody has any information about this incident then I would urge them to contact the Police.”
