Belfast City Council is set to host a dinner in their honour, marking their decades of service.
Councillor Michael Long said: “I’m delighted to see our hard working nurses receive the freedom of the city.
“Generations of nurses have given dedicated service to Belfast, often having to deal with horrific injuries, with limited resources in a health service that is consistently overstretched.
“I look forward to celebrating with those representing this hardworking sector, who have consistently served everyone in our community.”
