Alliance Councillor for Castlereagh Michael Long has expressed his disappointment at the Roads Service’s refusal to improve the traffic management at the junction of the Glen and Braniel Roads.
Cllr Long said: “I know that many residents will be unhappy that the Roads Service proposes to do nothing to alleviate the traffic congestion at this junction, which is particularly bad during the morning rush hour.”
“Whilst there are some differences about how the new junction should be improved, everyone agrees that something should be done to reduce the problem. I will continue to lobby Roads Service to ensure measures are introduced.”
