“Those who caused these alerts are intent on causing maximum disruption; however all they are doing is making people even more determined to move forward away from Northern Ireland’s sad and violent past.
“Today’s incidents stand in stark contrast to events on Washington this week where local politicians put forward a united front in promoting Northern Ireland and trying attract investment.
“A small number of individuals want to create fear and chaos but they will not succeed. People have a duty to the whole community to assist police in catching these thugs as they must be taken off our streets as soon as possible. People want peace, not chaos and if everyone stands united in countering this threat, we will overcome it.”
