Cllr Michael Long said: “I was shocked at this crime in what is a very busy street in Belfast. To threaten a member of staff with a handgun shows a complete lack of respect for the lives and wellbeing of other people.
“I hope that the members of staff involved in this incident are able to get over what must have been a traumatic experience for them.
“If anybody has any information about this robbery then they should contact the police. I hope that he will be apprehended by the police quickly and be given a harsh punishment by the courts.
