Cllr Michael Long said: “I am appalled at this robbery, especially given that a shot was fired by the robber. This shows the complete lack of respect for human life on behalf of this man.
“This must have been a very distressing situation for the staff members who had a gun pointed at them.
“I would urge anybody with any information about this armed robbery to contact the police. This man is obviously a very dangerous individual, so I hope that the police are able to take him off our streets quickly to face justice in the courts.”
