Castlereagh Alliance Councillor, Michael Long, has condemned those behind an attack on two people on the Milltown Road near the Belvoir bonfire site on the morning of 12th July.
Cllr Long said: “I strongly condemn those who carried out this horrific attack near Belvoir bonfire site.
“I am a member of Castlereagh Bonfire Working Group and we have been working hard to try to improve the atmosphere at bonfire sites within the area. This incident is a disappointing setback for the work we have done, however, we will continue to work towards making these areas a safe place for everyone.
“I would ask anyone with information on this incident to contact Police immediately.”
