Michael Long Alliance Party Youth Affairs Spokesperson addressed a Peace Conference at Brownlow Integrated College in Craigavon this morning.
The theme for the Conference was preparing for our future and Mr Long said that Integrated Education would be one of the foundation stones of the kind of future he would want to build.
Mr Long said:
“I want to see a future were people could embrace diversity in a culture of tolerance and respect, live free of division and segregation, be well educated skilled, and mobile and be creative in responding to the challenges of a new millennium.”
“He especially commended the innovative and creative approach which Brownlow has adopted for dealing with problems in the peer mediation scheme.”
“The young people in Integrated Schools are a beacon of hope for our future together.”
