Anna Lo MLA said: “This was an amazing act of bravery. I would like to take this opportunity to praise the courage of the police officer who saved the man.
“Real life heroes like this illustrate how committed our police officers are, both on and off-duty.
“This must however have been a very traumatic incident for the man who was saved and my best wishes are with him during his recovery.”
