The victim was stabbed after he refused to hand over a bag after being stopped by two men at about 3.40pm on Tuesday, July 10. He was taken to hospital for treatment on minor wounds.
Anna Lo MLA said: “I absolutely condemn this attack and it is shocking that it took place in broad daylight. Violence has no place in our society. The people involved in this attack must be taken off our streets.
“My thoughts are with the injured man at this very difficult time and I would appeal for anyone with information on this attack to contact police immediately.”
