Lo condemns nationalist pact bid as carve-up politics

South Belfast Alliance election candidate Anna Lo has condemned Sinn Fein’s attempt to create a nationalist unity pact in South Belfast and Fermanagh and South Tyrone saying people want action on the real issues not tribal headcounts.

Anna Lo MLA said: “It is shameful that some are trying to make this election into a sectarian headcount.

“Politicians should be making cross-community efforts to address the real issues like creating jobs or protecting vital services. Instead, some are trying to play pointless tribal games.

“I am deeply annoyed that further attempts have been made to carve up Northern Ireland and, like unionist pact moves, Alliance condemns them.”
