Lo condemns Ballymena petrol bomb attack

Alliance MLA Anna Lo has condemned a petrol bomb attack on a house in Ballymena. The incident took place at a house on Galgorm Road at around 10.30 pm last night, and Anna Lo said that given the fact that a woman from Eastern Europe was in the house at the time there would be particularly serious implications if racism was a factor.

Anna Lo MLA said: “This was a despicable attack. It is miraculous that no one was seriously hurt in this sickening episode.

“The woman in the house at the time was from Eastern Europe, and were this to be considered a racist attack it would hold even more serious implications.

“What would motivate anyone to do this to anyone else’s home? Anyone with information on this attack should contact police immediately.”
