Cllr Alan Lawther said: “This was obviously a very serious crash that had a big effect on traffic in the area on a busy weekday.
“I would call on the Minister for Regional Development to investigate the cause of this crash and make sure that all measures are put in place to attempt to prevent any similar incident in the future. Road safety is an extemely important issue that is a main priority for both the Department for Regional Development and the Department of the Environment, I would like to see the important work they do to continue at its current high level.”
