Cllr Neil Kelly said: “I utterly condemning this shooting. There is absolutely no justification for guns to be used on our streets. Local people do not want this type of violence on our streets, they want to be able to get on with their lives without the fear of guns.
“The people responsible for this attack are nothing more than a bunch of thugs who are offering nothing to our society. They need to be urgently apprehended by the police.
“If anybody has any information about this attack then I would urge them to contact the police.”
