Councillor Kelly said: “Thankfully no one was hurt during this incident but it must have been a horrific experience for staff. I am a regular user of the shops at the Greystone and appreciate the service staff provide in the area particularly to the older population around the Greystone Road.
“This type of incident has no place in our society and we all need to work with the PSNI to stop it. Recently, two armed robberies occurred on the one day in Antrim one in the Dublin Road and the other at the same shopping centre in Greystone, and again thankfully no one was hurt. Those responsible for these reckless attacks need to be brought to justice. I would appeal to anyone with information on any of these crimes to contact the PSNI immediately.”
