Hendron offers condolences following death of driver involved in East Belfast accident

Alliance Belfast Councillor Maire Hendron has expressed her condolences to the family and friends of a 47 year old man who died following a suspected heart attack that he suffered when driving his car on Woodstock Road in East Belfast on Thursday. The driver lost control of his car and three pedestrians were injured. The man was taken to hospital but later passed away.

Cllr Maire Hendron said: “I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this man. It is very sad news that he has passed away after he suffered a suspected heart attack when driving his car.

“I hope the other people injured in this accident will be able to make full and speedy recoveries.

“I would also like to praise the swift response of the emergency services to this incident.”
