Heading condemns Lurgan police station attack

Alliance Upper Bann candidate Brendan Heading has condemned the attack on a police station in Lurgan on Tuesday night at 23:30. A small device exploded outside the station causing only minor damage to another property, no one was injured.

Brendan Heading said: “This was a despicable attack by a bunch of cowardly thugs who have no respect for the lives of the people in the area. I am only glad that no one was injured.

“These dissidents have nothing to offer but death, injury and disruption.

“I am deeply concerned that this is the latest in a series of attacks in recent weeks. It clearly shows that the dissidents are intent on dragging us back to the old dark days. We must show to them that the vast majority of people do not want this to happen.”
