David Griffin said: “This area has disgracefully been portrayed as narrow-minded and even bigoted by some of its public representatives.
“Those who have stirred up sour old arguments about flags and emblems have let everyone down, and are pushing us back into the bitterness of the past. In the same vein, those who declined to meet the President of the Republic of Ireland at a time when Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness apparently enjoy each others company, seem totally out of touch.
“Northern Ireland is moving forward. Dromore deserves a Councillor that represents everyone, and that will work to promote and regenerate the area. You can be sure that Alliance Party will make a positive difference and create a shared future. Voting Alliance is common sense.”
