David Ford, who is a member of the Assembly Environment Committee, said: “I am pleased that progress has finally been made on providing a new visitors’ centre at the site.
“I am very glad that the National Trust’s plans have been backed by the Minister. Their plans look very good and the new centre will hopefully play a big part in boosting the tourism potential of the North Coast and the whole region.
“I want to see this vision become a reality as soon as possible. There must be no further delay in building a centre befitting of the Causeway’s UNESCO’s World Heritage Site status.”
