The local firm has announced it will be creating 21 jobs.
David Ford MLA said: “This is a good news story for Newtownabbey. It is very positive to see a local firm looking to international markets in order to expand and create local jobs.
“During these tough economic times, it is very welcome to see local companies, such as BI Electrical, building international partnerships. As elected representatives, we must do all we can to engage with and support ventures like this. We must encourage local companies to take advantage of overseas markets and make sure there is support to identify opportunities.
“It is also welcome to see BI Electrical taking the opportunity to set up a three-year apprenticeship scheme, which will again benefit the local and regional economy.”
