The South Antrim MLA said: “The M2 is one of the busiest roads in Northern Ireland. With the constant wear and tear on the road surface, it is essential that it is kept to the best possible standards. I urge all who use this road to take note of the closure times that are being shown on the Traffic Watch NI website (www.trafficwatchni.com).
“Whilst I welcome the news that Roads Service is investing in this road, it is essential that the Department for Regional Development works to make the proposed Park and Ride together with a new station at the Templepatrick M2 junction a reality. The possibilities for reducing traffic volumes into and out of Belfast are very exciting. I look forward to the further investment to come in this area.”
