“This was nothing less than an attack on democracy by those seeking to kill, maim and inspire terror by carrying out atrocities,” he said.
“My thoughts are with all the victims and survivors of this attack, and their loved ones. Many from Northern Ireland will be familiar with this airport, as Turkey is a popular holiday destination for local people.
“Coming so soon after a number of similar attacks across the world, it is clear we are living in dark times. Everyone has a duty to unite to uphold the values of a liberal, democratic society and show solidarity against those behind these terror attacks.”
