East Antrim Assembly Member Sean Neeson is calling on the Government to extend free public facilities to all those who reach retirement at the age of 60.
Mr Neeson says:
“This is an anomaly in the legislation that must be addressed and I am convinced that the necessary finances can be found in the Executive Funds.”
“In response to a written question from Sean Neeson the Minister for Regional Development Gregory Campbell has replied, “If I could obtain more resources , one of the options I would consider would be to lower he qualifying age for free fares to 60”.
