Cllr Mervyn Jones said: “This fire is very sad news for the local residents who see the shop as an important part of the community.
“I feel for the staff and the ownership at the shop because an event like this is distressing for those who work there.
“This is a vital resource for people in the area and they are shocked at this incident. Anyone with information should contact police immediately.”
