The local Councillor was speaking after heavy rain left many properties in the area damaged for the fifth time in six years – also causing power cuts.
Councillor Jayne Dunlop said: “Unfortunately the residents are used to it, the houses have been ruined on several occasions.
“They have their own sandbags, so they very quickly got the sandbags out and were able to take measures, but they were all out of their houses.
“Many of them had lost electricity because of the water fusing the electricity and they are just very fed up with it.”
