Dunlop attacks Education Minister over missed opportunity for Ballymoney

North Antrim Alliance Representative, Jayne Dunlop has hit out at the Education Minister’s decision to prevent the creation of an integrated primary school in Ballymoney.

Jayne Dunlop said: “The decision by Maria Eagle to prevent this new integrated school from opening flies in the face of government commitments to building a shared future.

“Integrated schools are the practical way forward for local education and they help to break down barriers in our society.

“Over 1 billion pounds is wasted on segregation in Northern Ireland every year. By having more integrated schools, we can stop cash from being wasted and create better health and education services here.”
