Dickson says Kennedy is looking through ‘roads tinted glasses’

Alliance Regional Development spokesperson Stewart Dickson MLA made the claim in the Assembly when the Regional Development Minister continually referred to himself as the Roads Minister during a debate in the Assembly. Stewart reminded him that he is also the Public Transport Minister.

The comments were made during a debate on where money originally destined for the A5 should be reallocated to. The Minister believes the money should only go to other roads projects, Alliance believes it should be made available for any capital project.

Stewart Dickson MLA said: “I would like to remind Danny Kennedy that he is not just the Roads Minister but also the Minister for Public Transport.

“He appears to be looking at his Department through ‘roads tinted glasses’.

“He cannot just prioritise road projects when our public transport sector needs extra investment.
