Mr Dickson said he was saddened to learn of the death of the woman, who was in her 50s, after the accident on Rodgers Quay around 5pm. She was taken to hospital, where she died today from the injuries sustained.
“It is terrible news that a lady has tragically passed away and we have lost another life on our roads,” he said.
“I would like to express my condolences to her family and friends. This will undoubtedly be an extremely difficult time for them, and my thoughts and prayers are with them.”
